Patients have been pivotal for the progression of cell and gene therapy clinical development because of their brave decision to participate in clinical trials. The decision to participate is hard and knowing which one to participate in adds to the stress and complication. In this workshop we will uncover patient experiences when deciding to join a clinical trial, the challenges they endured and how the industry can better support them.

• Comparing the experiences of decision making for joining a clinical trial and receiving a commercial therapy to understand the unique challenges of cell and gene therapy decision making
• Critiquing the current shared decision-making tools to establish areas of improvement that are needed
• Evaluating new potential tools to create patient-led decision-making tools
